What better omen could there be for a Peruvian restaurant than to first open its doors on the day before Independence Day? And that is a promise that has been borne out over the course of José Antonio’s storied history. Opened by the Graña family 47 years ago, this restaurant has delighted several generations now with its anticuchos, home-style corn on the cob, and its renowned lomo saltado, among other delicious specialties drenched in authentic Peruvian flavor.
José Antonio is “Lima’s criollo restaurant,” and was the first to take our generous cuisine to the next level with its elegant tablecloths, impeccable service, and the hacienda house ambience. A classic to which it is always a pleasure to return, José Antonio is truly a well-deserved Summum.
