La Rosa Náutica

It was in 1983 that Carlín Semsch founded La Rosa Náutica. Fernando Puga, one of the restaurant’s owners, remembers Carlín as an adventurer, a high-risk fisherman, and a dreamer. Semsch had the idea to build a restaurant on the sea, sitting atop a rock jetty. Thus was born La Rosa Náutica, which would soon become the favored destination of Peruvians and foreigners looking for a special kind of cuisine, with views to die for.

Ever since then, a number of outstanding chefs have passed through the establishment, leaving their own mark on it. The kitchen is now in the hands of the prestigious chef Pedro Miguel Schiaffino, who has spent the last year and a half reinventing this Lima classic without losing its original essence.

“The Puga family has given me the freedom I need to do my work. I have an extraordinary team of nearly 130 people: 70 % of them have worked here for 20, 30 years, which says a lot about the company.” The restaurant serves 600 covers daily, with two different morning and afternoon menus.
